| I have a Lowrance 27C and a 520, both bought last year. Bought the 2010 MN LakeMaster chip a week ago and was surprised to see it won't load on the 27C or the 520. Got the latest update for each unit installed today, didn't help. Shop manager called Lowrance, was told the processor in the older units was not large enough to handle the 2010 chip and Lowrance is starting to work on an update...
Thought you all might want to know. I'm trading the 2010 chip in for a 2009 that works. |

| So, I'm assuming the handheld H2O will not work with this new chip also? That's too bad. |

| I won't be finding out anything further, I'm trading my 2010 chip in for a 2009 that works now. I'd assume you'll hear about an update in the somewhat near future. |

Location: Gone Fishin | Has anybody had any problems with the 2010 Lakemaster Wisconsin chip in older lowrance units? I am thinking about getting one for my LMS-334. |

Location: Wisconsin | I think it has to do with the MicroSD cards that are in the new chips. Some older units can't process those cards. Supposedly Lakemaster is working on an update. |

Location: Blaine, MN | talked to lowrance just today, and said the 2010 chips won't work in my 520c and they don't forsee that changing in the future. their advice was to exchange my 2010 for a 2009 at the retailer and deal with it tht way. |
