I saw the Shadillacs at the MN show and I was very impressed. Seeing them and watching the video sold me on them. Real nice solid lures IMO. With that said, I am not sure who has them for sale. You might just contact Mike Hulbert directly.

Last year the Lifelike swim baits were very good for me along with kick'n minnows, but durabiliity was an issue (even with the Lifelike baits, which are made from Formula X).

I'm anxious to try out the shaddilacs. They look very, very, nice. Contact Mike Hulbert to get info on buying those I believe.

The Shadillac! They are solid built baits and they catch fish. The only reason you will ever need to buy another one is for color. Right now you need to contact Mike direct, www.mikehulbert.com but they will be in Rollies soon.

I picked a a few Shadillacs, and also a few of Musky Innovations new Model. They look sweet! I have used KONG by River 2 Sea and they are incredible sounding and looking - also the Dunwright Perchbait is pretty sweet looking in the water, and I know they catch a ton of fish!

Besides the lures mentioned the Bucher Swimmin' Joes/Raiders have great action and pretty solid design.

Thanks for all the kind words about the Shadillac, once you boys up north get to use them you will really love them....just like all "lipped" swimbaits! Some of my favorites include the 10 inch Storm Kickin Minnow, Bucher's Swimmin' Raider and a few of the Dunwright's as well. Great baits, great action and great hooking precentages!

I haven't seen it in the water, yet, but am looking forward to trying the "Shadzilla"
http://www.bigwoodmuskylures.com/index.shtm
It's on page 5 of the "Swimbait" tab. I plan on running it with some type of oversize "swimbait" hook to make it as weedless as possible.

Found this video for the shadzilla on youtube.

I have to agree with the others though, a crankbait with multiple joints is not a swimbait.

...that's what I was thinking. I don't believe these are true "swimbaits" in the true sense of those types of lures.

Hi Everyone,

I was at the show this weekend chatting with a guy at the Muskie Innovations booth about the swim bait they had there..right on the end by the rods. I liked the action of that one as well... Anyone recall the name of that bait?

Thanks

Steve

Webster's definition of a swimbait is a bait that swims with a natural lifelike motion. It says nothing about having or not having a lip.

Jointed depthraider, jointed perchbait, radke minnow, wileys, and the list goes on and on. Are we going to start calling them swimbaits too or do we just need to add another joint to them? You guys crack me up.

My favorite "swimbait" is the jointed legend perchbait then. ;)

Check out the 3:16 Lure Company swimbaits if you want to see some of the best, they make a perch that is just incredible.

They are incredible and so is the price..............$150 each and a several month wait minimum.

I also find it odd that a bait with a bill is called a "swimbait". Anything with a bill has a very methodical and predictable left to right wobble to it. At the same time, to call a bulldawg, a hard jointed swimbait, and a shad with a boot tail all swimbaits is weird too since they are much different in design and action.
