Looking at a predator XH for double 10s. is it to stiff at 9 ft or would i be better off having it built to 9'3" looking for input. what else are you using the xh predator for?

i threw with a 8 6 xh predator last year and it handled all of the double 10's fine. threw some double 13s and even went to double 15s a few times. pushing it on 13s and 15s but i would think 9 foot xh would be fine for double tens. guess its personal preference.

The Pred XHF is an awesome rod for blades. I also use it for rubber and big twitch/cranks. You won't be sorry!

9' or 9'3" won't matter on how stiff it is. The Predator blank is 9' when Thorne's get it so they add 3" to the butt section to get your extra length. The tip isn't touched.

Pretty sure Thornes bills the H, not the XH, as their dcg rod. I know personal preferences vary but if you're worried about it being too stiff you might consider the H. Best thing is to call Thornes and talk to Lonnie.
