Location: Brookfield, WI | I remember several years ago when a couple guys put on a big BBQ at Smokey's the night before the opener. Brisket, ribs, chicken. Was pretty #*^@ good. I wonder what happened to those guys?

| Smokeys is a good place with good people. Everytime i have visited they have been fantastic. Their customer service is great. Even their pricing seems to be better than some of the larger shops. |

Location: Racine, Wi | Smokey's is definitely a great place. John and the crew run a great shop. Great selection and they always have good info on what is working out on Pewaukee. Great place to sit and have a beer or 8 after you're done fishing as well.
Hopeful, that was a great time. We might have to look into getting that in the works again. I think I had my little one there for that. She's going to be 4 this year and hitting the water a lot more with me this year (not sure I can handle both girls solo this year.) T minus one month and counting. Can't wait!!! |

| Keep it on the top and spread the news. I can't wait for an organized BSSession. Usually they are more like "Whose Line is it Anyway".......either way, I bet it's going to be fun.

Location: Pelican Rapids, MN | I love John - love the shop - love the site. That said, the political stuff on Johns page is pretty hardcore for a tackle shop website. And whereas I agree with a vast majority of Johns views, many of his "Left wing" customers may take offense. I just hope he isn't hurting the overall positive qualities of the site! |

Location: Oconomowoc, WI | I work for John and I agree with Jerry about the political stuff. But I can also say with absolute certainty that John, right or wrong, really could care less if he offends them. Both the Smokey's Muskie Shop and John are one of a kind. Hope to see many of you out at the shop on Saturday.

| Other than the rain, I think that everyone there had a great time. There was lots of wheelin' and dealin' going on, and I saw several guys buying from Smokeys. I know that a few Tyrants and some Shallow Czars went out of the door along with many other things in plastic bags. |

I think it's great... if he wanted to remain a neutral business owner, he could. But then he wouldn't be speaking his mind about views he obviously feels passionate about... and in today's day and age - I completely emphathize and I applaud him for letting everyone know he's stayin' away from the Kool-Aid! |

Location: SE Wisconsin | What seperates John's Musky Shop from any other are his deals. He's not out to get rich, he's out there to keep the shop in business so we never lose our local Musky Shop. All he asks is that you stop in once in a while and tell him about a recent trip on the water. . .
Props should also be granted to Dave Olson, who's the creator of the website. Thanks Dave!

Wait a minute. I was always told that those in the "left wing" were tolerant and open minded. Why would this offend them? Aren't they open to all views? |
