Location: Southeastern Wisconsin | Guys, How low is Pelican? My uncle was up there last weekend and said there is 8 to 10 feet between "shore" and the water. Is he just BS-ing me or is the lake really low?

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The lakes up here are all way down. We're short nearly 2" of rain this Spring already and had a serious deficit last year as well. Poor snow cover didn't help either. We need rain. |

| Were heading to the Detroit Lakes area in August. If I remember correctly isn't Pelican lake in Detroit Lakes area and if so I would have to assume all the lakes in the area would be suffering from the drought as well. Will we have problems fishing Big Detroit lake and Pelican? |

Location: Rhinelander | My in-laws live on the lake and was there Easter weekend.....i would say, yes the water is blow the normal high water mark but no way 6-7' from shore. They are on chicago point and I would say maybe 2' from shore at most.
Like sled mentioned there is a pile of other lakes that are slowly and litterly dissapearing. I find it quite "scary" what is happening to the water table. |

Detroit Lakes, MN...not Detroit, MI if that's what you were thinking?
but either way, still a long ways from both towns! |

| Pretty sure the pelican lake was not specified in the thread. He thought it was about pelican lake near pelican rapids and detroit lakes MN, a lesser talked about musky water. |
