I'm looking for a good headlamp for Muskie fishing. Any recommendations? I want something that is very bright but doesn't weigh a ton.

| Go with Petzl, you wont be dissapointed, they cost a little more than most but last for years unlike some of the cheaper ones on the market, plus there led's are super bright and the batteries seem to last forever. here's the one I use.

When mountaineering, a twist bezel type works, but when fishing, you're always going to have a rod in one hand, and the bezel types can be tough to turn on or off with one hand. |

imo a bright headlamp is well worth the money if you do a lot of night fishing...i put in a lot hours at night and catch lots of fish...imo I don't know how guys do it with cheap / not bright headlamps like cat eyes etc...once you have a bright headlamp like a petzl you won't go back..they also come in handy for a lot of other things like blasting the halogen bulb on boats that get too close...
easy on / off switch on one side, i do not like the lights w the push buttons at the top....the lever on this model is way easier to turn on and off in a split second..
