I plan on fishing the lake on Friday and hopefully Sunday as well. Is the tournament on Saturday?

Yep! Ron Rodak caught a very girthy 43 that day. Cold as a polar bears nipple that day and some precipitation as well.

With new payout rules, if only one team catches a fish, they are awarded the full purse, meaning last year they only took home the 1st place prize. This year, they would take home the 1st-4th checks all in one swoop.

Last year we could have blamed the poor showing on the nets having been collected for the Jake Wolf fish hatchery earlier that week. This year we got better timing, as the fish have been processed and replaced back into the lake a week and a half ago. It should improve our catch totals I hope, but dangit there goes my built in excuse for laying an egg! LOL

We're looking at about 15 boats entered so far. Ten more spots open for those brave enough to come out! Show up at the launch and register between 6AM-6:45AM if you're coming down late, otherwise you can call IMTT pres. Howard Chambliss (618-244-1982) Friday night and pick up your tourney packet at the Super 8 in Pekin.

Good luck out there! If someone wants to jump in last minute, take jadrian1951 up on his offer- he can chuck em with the best of em. Nice 3d place finish on Kinkaid John!
