| I've been using Ultracast the last few years,but there seems to be a lot of people who like Masterbraid. Thinking of switching this year. Any used both for a comparison? It's going on 400TE's

| what are you putting it on? I have found the cortland to be a good line on garcia reels with the wire line guide. Ultracast has been better on lines guides with the hole. I have had backlash issues with these lines in the visa versa situation. |

Location: Sawyer County, WI | I switched from PowerPro to Masterbraid last year and there is no going back. Better casting distance, fewer backlashes, and none of that nasty green dye all over my hands and clothes after a fresh spool. Experience is on both 401TEs and Curado.

| I would highly recommend the Cortland Masterbraid Bronzeback line. This will be my 3rd season of using it and would not think of using anything else. It also does not carry a lot of water which is great.

Location: N.FIB | using power pro I get less backlashes but when I do they are bad ones,been using cortland masterbraid for a couple years and love it,the backlashes come out easy.the only spiderwire I`ve used is on my walleye rod and my spring musky rod which is a heavy bass rod,I put the camo braid on last year and liked that line on my heavy bass rod. |

| I use the Ultracast, and I love it. Though, I have not tried the Masterbraid. |

Power Pro and Ultracast are entirely different. PP is limp,soft,with no coating. Ultracast is stiffer with a slick coating. It casts much better than PP. What is the Bronzeback like? |

Location: Mt. Zion, IL | bronzeback is stiff which keeps it from having problems with backlashes. Limp lines tend to over-run more. Cortland's coatings seem to last longer than any other line i've used and that is why they are my choice. |
