Haven't started a thread on this page in awhile....
Going out for the first time tommorow (3/20/10). All Ohio lakes are ice free for the most part. After the longish winter, it's going to feel great getting back on the water barring any boat malfunctions. Going to do mostly trolling, casting would be an option but my trolling motor is busted and being repaired ....
Anyway, just thought i'd share, you poor northern guys still have a short time left. I swear if i had to wait any longer i'd lose my mind.

I have been wading a river in Illinois all winter. Picked up a mid 30" pike but no muskies yet

Casting for walleyes in the Wisconsin River yesterday using a Rapala and caught a 33" muskie. At first I thought it was the bottom then I thought it was a huge walleye. Too bad for me it was a muskie-darn it!

Man, it was a long winter.
I was out last Friday with two buddies, and one of my buddies got a 37". I'm getting ready to head to FL tomorrow with the fam, but had to get out today, so I went out solo today and bagged a 37".

B.A.,
I've only been here at M1 since the late Fall, but I've gotta say that you, my friend, have become my hero. I'd be happy with <*((((((((((((((((>< , but you obviously wouldn't spend time messing around with the dinks I catch. Pounders and double 13's I presume?
