Hello,

This is my first post and I have been lurking around this forum for sometime and have gained a lot of useful information. I started muskie fishing last year and have become addicted. I am also finding out it's an expensive addiction but hey do what you love.

Anyways I purchased two Revo 60's and I am trying to adjust the brakes on these reel's and cannot figure out how to remove the cover. I don't want to force it.

Also a recomendation on how many brakes to set.

Thanks

Dan

Loosen the thumbscrew on the top right side (assuming RH reel). It also has a reg screwdriver slot in it. It's spring loaded with a keeper on the other side so it won't come out. Once loose, palm the left sideplate and rotate about a 1/4 turn, I think clockwise but it could be the other way. Tehn the side plate will come off and there are your brakes. Factory is two out, and that seemsed to work pretty well for me, but it depends on the weight of lures you're throwing. Remember, the brakes are to adjust overrun at the beginning of the cast, the cast control knob (on right side outside) is for adjusting overrun near the end of the cast. Good luck.

I just bought one of these reels and this is excellent info... I tried out a friend's Revo Toro 60 last year and I don't recall him having to adjust the factory brakes. But nonetheless, good info.
