| Mark, I tried to get the skunk out of Shep's boat last Friday to no avail. I'm heading to Vilas county Friday to get my confidence back. I hope being in his boat doesn't have a lasting effect.Keep trying Shep,after the first its easy!

| Hi,
i will give you my secret skunk removal recipe, however if it works u owe me a fishing lure. this is on the honor system now. i asume that u are an honest person so here goes.
mix equal parts of hair shampoo and hydrogen peroxide together. apply to areas. repeat as needed. any extra can be put on your hair for a cool new look. may ruin the color on carpet i am not sure. however it works on dawgs, turned my chocolate lab into a vanilla lab.
shampooo is a base and peroxide is slightly acid so the two cancel each other out and take the skunk with them. also fun to do to ur friends pets when they are on vacation.

| Who have I had in the boat? Well let's see. Other than the wife and kids, here they are.
1st was LandyR for the WMT on Pee-waukee. 3 fish seen, I think. We both missed the same fish![:(]
2nd was my nephew, on Little Green. 4 fish seen, no eaters.[:knockout:]
3rd- 7th were neighbors and friends. Fish seen, non caught.[:knockout:]
8th was the Thick One, The Shadiest of The All, Steve Cady. Bone Lake, several times in the boat, I don't know, maybe 5 fish seen. No eaters. I was in his boat too. Same result.[:bigsmile:]
9th was Don Jahnke from my MI Chapter. Trolling, 1 rip, he lost it right away.[:0]
10th was Landy again. Zippo![:0]
11th was Mark H. Like he said. Lotsa fish on the locator, but no takers.
Sorry, guys. I really didn't expect this to be so hard.[:blackeye:] I'm ready to take the "For Sale" sign off the old boat, just to prove it ain't me![:halo:]
On the bright side, I have no problem with panfish and 'eyes. Maybe I should head for the big pond and try for salmonids![:p]
It'll happen. I know it. When? That I don't know. But when it does, watch out![:bigsmile:]I gotta a lot of catching up to do to even come close to the last year's numbers. I'm thinking of forgoing deer hunting this year, and spending the week fishing. That would be the first year I missed it, other than military service, since 1969!

Makes no difference to me which boat we use. I'm gonna be happy just to get up there on some new water! I could probably arrange to be on Pee-waukee Sunday. Early? Let me know.
Or maybe Okauchee? You ever fish it? I've only been on it ice fishing. Don't know why, but I just never find myself there in my boat.
Saturday, gonna fish for 'eyes on Bago. Been doing real well up there, and have had some great fish fries this year again.

I guess I was still in shock that someone actually offered to fish with me, and in my boat.[;)] Not sure where the Bond Falls Flowage is, but with the wife's work schedule, it's hard for me to make a long weekend run right now.[:(] But thanks for the offer.
She changes ends of the week the end of August, so that will free up some weekends. Then, I'll be able to do some trips a little farther away.
BTW, I do like beans. Are we gonna have some at Cass?[:bigsmile:]

| Mark H and Shep sorry I didn't get a chance to stop in for a drink but I was already 1/2 hour late. Don't feel bad about that day I broke my streak. I did have a rip and had the rod in my hands when I lost the fish, there was about a 15 second standoff with head shakes before the lure came free. I was 8 fish for 6 days out before that day,will have to start another streak tonight. The muskies seemed to slow down somewhat and are smaller. With the new moon comming the 8th the size should pick up as will the numbers. Shep if you don't score soon I will grab my gear and we will break that boat in if it takes us 12 hours or more. Got to go. The muskies are waiting. | |

Oh, man, Gregger. How could I forget you?!![;)] Another 5 or six fish seen in an afternoon, with the Gregger losing one! That was the day before he stole my special BooTail, and caught a 38 on his 3rd cast, in OneidaEsox's boat.
