| Hey gang
Looking for some good lure storage ideas. I searched previous threads and found the basement pegboard variations but I live in an apt. and do not have that kind of room. I currently have a system of Plano boxes and tackle boxes but really does not work that great because you can not see everything.
My collection is not huge but I got my share of lures.
I was considering buying a good wardrobe and placing peg board on the inside and short hooks on the doors. Does any one have something similar that they have or another idea to share?

| I lucked into mine by accident....we re-did our pantry closet and we were using about a 4 - 5 foot wire rack with about 4 shelves prior to redoing the closet....it was sitting in my basement when I brought my baits in for the winter to re-organize/sharpen hooks/play with, etc. and I looked at that rack and said "PERFECT!". Lots of places to hang all kinds of baits and you have access to all of them and can see them all. It's worked great. When summer rolls around I have a place in the garage I'm going to put it to keep the baits that don't make the cut for a trip. |

Location: sun prairie,wi | just encase boxs are really good for what you need...you can lock to keep ppl out and you can always see you baits...i just got one last week that i had custom made...but they come in so many sizes...

| I got a 5 foot piece of white plastic coated wire closet shelving. It is 3 long rods connected about every inch or so by smaller dia. cross wires. It is about 16 inches wide. I hang mine from the ceiling by hooks. It hangs at a bit of a angle, so I can put shorter lures of 8 inch or less on the top wire,and hang longer lures from the bottom wire, and there is no interferiance between the levels. I hang mine horizontal, but you could do it vertical, but wouldnt be able to hang as many baits. I'm sure one could figure other ways to use it. You can even start hanging lures off other lures if it gets full. |

| Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but a "bait bucket" like this one is handy both at home and while fishing, very convenient and you can see the lures. But if you have a lot of lures, storing them at home might be a problem if you have too many buckets. Just an idea though.

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | If you have wall space, I took some of the plastic chicken wire mesh, (home deport, Knards, Lowes etc...) and ran between two birch logs. Wedged the birch in place using carpet scraps on the top & bottom, stretched it out tight. The mesh is about a 1/2 inch from the wall and I hang the baits on that. Wife likes it cause when I die she can take it down quick! I like it because I can sit in that room and see all those baits. |
