Location: St. Lawrence River | What do you guys use for trolling leaders in clear water, and at night in clear water? And since im on this topic, favorite baits for this situation, say maybe...10-20 FOW? |

Location: Racine, Wi | 100-130# floro for leaders for me. As far as baits go, I guess it depends on what you're fishing (rocks, weeds, sand, etc). But for that depth range, I'd be running depth raiders, 10" jakes, double 10's and spinnerbaits for the most part. |

| Since only one other person responded St. Croix, I'll give a suggestion as just food for thought. I'm no expert. And I can't say anything about leaders--I just use the same commercial steel leaders for trolling that I use for casting. I know there are better, but...
Trolling baits: Shallow: 5.5" or 6.5" Wileys. Or bigger.
Mid-Depth: 7" or 8" Believers.
Mid-to-Deep: 8" Jakes
Deeper: 8" Depthraiders
I'm sure there are many more that are effective.

Location: St. Lawrence River | Thanks for the input guys.. I figured a few more would gimme some info And about St. Croix.. i believe they started in the late 1940s making nets then switched to rods...oddly. The name St. Croix is believed to be because the St. Croix River was the local water for the Founders of the company, i think. |

| I use a 4 foot 130lb flouro trolling leader. The 10-20 foot depth range is good for Tuff Shads, Depth Raiders(I like the jointed ones),also hit the upper part of the water with a Shallow Invader, or Stalkers. At night I like the double 10's at about 2.5 mph. |

Location: Des Moines IA | I use 3 foot, 100 lb. hard mono leaders, Never had a failure. Set your drag loose, and run with it. Baits: All depends on the water, anything from 4 inch bass cranks, all the way up to 13 inch granny's. It all depends on the forage. |
