What is the difference between the Premier and the Toro? Hard to tell by the descriptions on the Abu site.

Thanks!

The Premier is a small bass reel that is built to be super light wheras the Toro is a larger reel designed for musky and saltwater use. For musky fishing you want a Toro, not a Premier.

I am having some issues with pain in right hand (I'm a Lefty cranker) that I palm the reel in and I bought 2 Revo STX reels for Swimbaits, Gliders, Topwaters, lighter stuff. The STX is a little heavier and has 11 bearings and practicing with an old Kick'n' Minnow, it will cast a mile. They had them on ffo-tackle.com an overstock site for Purefishing products for $151.00 in 6:4:1 and 7:1, Premiers for 168.00 6:4:1 and 7:1. For me they will work great! Two reels for the price of one Toro. I worked our Hoosier Muskie Hunters booth last night at the Indy Boat Show, and I had time to run over to Mic Lurch tackle and compare, and the gearbox on the Toro is a little bigger but not much. For Dbl 10's, and Pounders, I use my Pflueger Trion 66 L. The Revo STX's might not last, but if it saves a surgery, it will be cheaper in the longrun! And guys in California have been throwing LARGE swimbaits for years with this style of real, the new ones are just better!
