Two words. TODAY SUCKED

Man we got out this am when it was so muggy it was hard to tell if the rain was coming or going. Decided to move up river at around lunchtime and it was a great move as it rained hard during half our drive. We actualy ended the day with bright skys LOL

Now my plan worked just fine as I decided to start off at this one spot to get a couple of mid 30s and then proceed to fish for the big bite like we always do. Well took me less then 15 minutes and 2 concecutive cast to catch a 33 and 37 inch pike. [:knockout:] All we got was a good size follow before I decided to go up river for better action.

Now we were starting to get hard pressed when my partner got a good rip trolling at 2:25 and we both said things are looking up LOL I then decided to cast the area where that fish hit and at 2:45 I landed this nice 36 incher that actualy gave me a great fight.

We then proceeded to wash lures till after 6 pm. Man we all got to get some of those days. LOL We actualy had some tornado warnings to go with the thunderstorm ones tonight.

There may not be a next time for the MFWW fishing match but I gave it my all. Maybe we can add the points from the first round, what do you think Jason?

Well, managed to wrap up a big fat null. But I figured Richard might get a kick out of this picture of a fish I caught but forgot to put the mixing bowl on my head. []

Oh, I know. A solo 36"er was about the best case scenario I could have hoped for, but it just didn't work out that way. A small numbers lake with a pair of 32" fish would have done it, but no joy. I think I was jsut cursed this weekend.

First of all Mr Smith you are counting your chickens b4 they hatch. Now I can't wait to see you lose Wednesday night. And if you fluke a win I will gladly crush you in the next round. Remember this lonely 36 incher day is a very rare occurance for this big dawg.[:p] Just to be safe I will get my partner out at 6 am and fish till we boat 4. Lmao

Just to think the finals will be in October. [:sun:]

P.S. No way we can hit weather that bad again this summer.
