| Do you all like the split handle? I have them for my bass rods but haven't really ever gave them any thought for musky. Thinking of getting a Sling Blade. Any info is appreciated. Thanks! |

Location: In a shack in the woods | I like mine as well. Not that the cork handle is bothersome but split grip is more comfortable plus added feeling IMO. I've got a torium 14 that is about shot on it right now. I learned my lesson on Malaysian shimano's. Hopefully I'll have it replaced by the time ski season rolls around with a Trinidad 14. |

Location: Eagle River, WI | I ordered a split grip Slingblade about a week ago. My Big Dawg has a solid cork and I'm getting tired of having that big bruise on my side all summer from "ripping" dawgs. I use a revo toro 60 and I really like it. I palm the reel and that makes it alot easier having a low-profile reel. |

Location: Sawyer County, WI | I thought about the choice for a long time and opted for a split grip slingblade. It was without a doubt the correct decision. It took a few minutes to get accustomed to it, but now when I pick up one of my other rods with a full grip they feel awkward. I have a 401TE on mine and I can cast all day without fatigue.
Go with the split grip. I will on all my future rod purchases.

Location: McGuire AFB, NJ | One word...sick. These rods are LIGHT! I paired mine a 400B and its butter. You can cast all day all night and not break a sweat. One word of caution....they don't float...please, please don't ask. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | I've got the split grip on my Sling Blade and Big Dawg and love them. I ordered the Sling Blade first and actually ordered it with the full grip and the split grip showed up. At first I was mad, but was heading to Mom and Dad's in MN the next day so I took it and used it and loved it. Then I got my Dawg with it and it's the way to go. Not that I dislike full grips, but the split grip work and feel good. |

Location: Colorado/Birch Point, Lake Vermilion | I had a similar story behind my split grip Big Dawg. I was leaving for Minnesota and had to order a new rod before i left. The only place that I could find a Big Dawg that would be shipped in time had the split grip handle. I decided to try it and have never looked back. It actually feels weird to pick up the standard handle after throwing the split grip all day. I paired it with a Calcutta Conquest, needless to say I have a hard time picking up any of my other rods. |

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | U can make a rod into a split grip here is a Tica that was a 1 piece cork, also added 3 inches to the handle.
