How big is this fish?

I caught this fish a couple weeks ago and she measured at 51 and 1/2 inches. Did not get a girth on her unfortunately. Could folks here give me an estimate on what this fish might go as far as girth? I would guess about 22-23 inches. That would put that fish at 35 pounds approximately. Is this about right? Just want to get some professional opinions! Thanks everyone! []

OK, one last time here. Obviously I'm having some trouble, but I am relentless in my quest to get this picture on here.

C&B what a great fish no matter what. My educated guess is low 30s maybe 31 to 32 pounds max. As for girth your looking at 22 inch max. And if you do that formula it does come to 31 Lbs.

Check out my 2002 picture page at the bottom that bass fishermen's fish was 33 lbs. []

I would say a girth of 19 to 21 inches, big tail, average size head, even girth with no sag belly,my guess would be between 31 to 34 lbs.
Great Fish! Capt. Larry

Of course in determining weight we need not only the length but all of the following:

1. The phase of the moon when you were born.
2. The average ground velocity of a European swallow.
3. The length of your wife's little toe.
4. The mean viscosity of musky slime in your state.
5. And a partridge in a pear tree.

PS: I agree with the low 30's weight...nice fish!

Nice fish guy. Great picture also! I think I know that spot!! [:0] Just kidding, it could be anywhere.

Would it be considered rude if I asked what the magic lure was?

Thanks for the complements and opinions on weight. She was heavy! Magic lure was a creeper worked very slow right around sundown. My favorite time to slow down and work the spots that look like MONEY![]
