a great big thank you to all who donated to the swap meet, especially James from Tackle Industries as I was the lucky winner of the rod. My brother was part of the first trip for the vets and I know first hand what it means for these guys to get away for a week of fishing without having to worry about anything. Thanks again to Shep for setting this swap up, and to everybody involved with Operation Muskie

Thanks cisco kid. I do appreciate it. It is the least my family and I can do to support those guys. They put their lives on the line and on hold for a long time and I don't think they get the appreciation they should from the average US citizen. To help out a little more soon I will have a new monster tube lure ready mid Spring. The Tubby Tube. 100% of the profits will go towards events like Operation Musky and the Ronald McDonald house for kids. This will not replace current Tackle Industries donations but help us increase donations for the rest of 2010 and beyond. I know a lot of other companies already do great things with donations but I put the challenge out to other tackle companies who don't have a donation effort to help with these efforts. The economy is not kind to a lot of people right now and I know we can all do more. I for one will not be taking my annual company trip to Canada this Spring to test lures and get video. This will help me do a little more I think. I have a DNR pond next to my house and I am sure I can get just as good video in that and its free Well, sounds like the event went well. Thanks to Tim (Shep) for allowing me to participate.

This sounds like it was well done.

Thanks to everyone who donated to support the folks who keep us free, especially Jim who has been a great supporter of Operation Muskie.

It's much appreciated, both by us and the Vets who deserve it.

Final tally going to Operation Muskie is $823!!!! Norm told me that we just sent a Vet to Operation Muskie this year! Thank you all who had a part in this.

Thanks to all who attended, and thanks to all that donated baits, rods, nets, and other items. I figure there were about 150 people there, and some even bought extra raffle tickets. It looked like most everyone had a good time. The socializing is the best part of doing this.

Special thanks to James at Tackle Industries. He really went all out with 19 baits, and at the last minute, one of his Muskie Rods. I'm sure Brian will love which ever he picks. I saw him Sunday morning, and he had already been on the website checking them out!

Also Tilky, who stepped up with about 15 baits and some leaders from Bucher and Tyrant. Thanks, Matey! Roger Watters with a 6 bait package, including a beautiful natural finish bait that will be in the Auction coming up. And Brad Hoppe from Musky Mahem Tackle with 8 baits, a Hat and T Shirt! You guys rock, and should take a bow!

Thanks to Steve Bendall of Tuffy Boats for putting up the half barrel of beer. Everyone must have appreciated that, as it was all gone in about 1 1/2 hours!!

And thanks to Steve Worrall of MuskiFirst for MCing the raffle, and doing the video spots at the show to get even more raffle items donated. I think the tally of items raffled off was 15 packages of 5 lures each, plus the net/rod combo, and a couple beverage items as well.

Again, thanks to all the donations from the folks listed above in Mike's post. I just have to list them again. You guys really came through.

WOW! How could I forget to thank my daughter, Lauren, for all of her help. She was the official greeter, and collected the money and handed out the Raffle tickets. She recorded all the donations, and helped design the Welcome Sign. She is always thinking of others first, and I am so proud of her.

Thank you, Lauren. I love you.
