Because Wiley is smart! From what I know he stopped making lures for retailers and only makes limited numbers each year. Last I heard he was about 6-9 months out if you put an order in with him. Same happened to the Manta. In fact with the Manta, the previous owner was selling some of them on eBay towards the end of his ownership. I need to stop selling so many SuperDs and limit production. I doubt anyone would pay $50 for a rubber lure though However, with limited production and jacked up high prices.....that only invites a smart fella into the game... 10" jointed Nøkken trolling bait coming soon.

Piece of unsolicted advice for ya: hold off on buying a bunch of expensive lures until you get out with some guys or a guide. Try to start with lures that are recomended for the specific lakes you'll be on a first. You can put out a lot of bucks for lures you may never use, or catch a fish with.

PS-Muskythirlls.com is the site I heard that was taking 6-9 months for the special colors to be delivered. My bad. It says up to 2 months on the website.

I am not a lure promoter; and have no interest in the company, but Wiley's are available in all colors, sizes, and styles at $22 to $26 from D. Wiley's site itself. Go to Muskie Thrills. Jackson Lures has a limited selection at $21 to $23. I've ordered Wiley's from both the home base and Jackson. Jackson moves very fast. Muskie Thrills is reasonable in its wait time--and you can get whatever you want. I don't know anything about Legends.
