Wondering what the difference is in these two by ERC?

I like to cast cranks and twitch, rip, reel/pause...but, also troll. So, do I get both or will one of them do the trick?

Thanks,
Steve

DD is the shallow version of the DDD, the DDD has alot more action.

As musker said the DD is a shallow version with a square lip while the DDD runs deeper with a larger round lip.

I've only used the DDD but have a DD on the way to try out this year. If you like twitching/ripping cranks you can't go wrong with the DDD and it trolls really well. I like to hold the rod and rip it once in a while when trolling these. It makes the lure shoot out to the side and I'll feed a little line back after the rip so it just sits there for a split second in their face. Turns those followers into biters sometimes.

DDD is a must have bait! I have about two dozen - DD not so much (IMO) there are better baits for working 1-4 ft , Jakes, Gramas, Big Games, Cranes and on and on..

Really? That shallow? Mine seems to run around the 4-6' down range when twitching/ripping sideways. I can keep it higher with the rod up, of course. The nice thing about the DD is it suspends. I'll use Big Games if I want to make contact with the tops of shallow weeds, then let it float. But if I'm working a little bit deeper weed bed, the DD comes out to suspend just above the tops.

Actually 5-6' is the depth I work DDD's a lot of times. That's why I like them so much they can effectively cover 5'-10' on a cast and stay there! Deadly....

DDD's are great for working the deep weeds/rocks. You can get them down 12-15'. I have 1 special one thats been dubed "old ugly" that seems to be tied on alot. I think First Six Feet is to credit for it's special paint job.

I haven't had the best success on the DD's but I keep trying.
