Just wanted to let everyone know that the Tinley Park Fishing & Outdoor Show is February 13-14 and the hours are 9AM-5PM both days. I will have a booth there talking about my guide service also I have a few Slidin' Shads left from the Chicago show. In addition I will be selling Tooth Tamer rods and Dreamcatcher bucktails. Thinking about going. Went last year and there were a couple tables with used Musky baits for bargain hunters like me. Got some deals on some bass cranks too. Not worth traveling real far, but for us South Siders it makes for a nice couple hours.

Doug-
I would say not nearly as many diehards (aka people like us who read these threads 3x a day) and more casual Musky anglers, who spent 1-2 weeks a year fish fishing for muskies. I worked the show a few times for the largest tackle retailer at this show, (MicLurch) and I was in the musky and salmon section. I am from that area and there are plenty of guys who recreationally fish for muskies, even though there are very few lakes that are less than a 2 hour drive. Being in a middle-class area and near some upper-middle and upper class areas....you should be able to book quite a few trips. (You guide on the Chain, correct?) If this is your first year there (I do not remember you being there a few years ago at least) you will be surprised how much money people drop at a "small" show. Overall, its a great show!

I might make it Sunday depending how drunk I get at a wedding. Hope I can function on Sunday enough to drop by.

I'm glad to see Doug and Kyle are getting hip to the game. What a nice fishing show, with a little but ever growing musky contingent. It gets a lot of traffic and I like the setup. Vendor tip: park in the front horseshoe to unload and grab a parking spot if they're available, that's where the rockstars like Donovan and Snyder park!

I will be there again this year, making custom tails on the spot as usual. I will have a couple of new sizes as well. (New for my line at least.)

For the "bargain guys", I'm thinking about bringing some used equipment to dump too.

What date and time are you and Scott giving the seminar? I looked on the show site and the schedule they have up needs to be updated. I will be down here in Carbondale but I have quite a few friends who would like to hear Scott and yourself speak. Thanks

I think he meant they'd be hanging out at the Musky Armor booth, talking about Kinkaid and booking guide trips...I think the website is up to date....?
