How do you tell if they are Randy Shutt sledges? I have 1 in Rainbow Trout unweighted that has to be years old and has been in the water once. I got it down in Kentucky @ Crash's Landing....they love sledges down there. I like them as well....I just use other colors. If this is what you are looking for I would be willing to trade/sell it.

I had to reach out to Sledgehammer lures this past week for an issue I had and I asked John from Sledgehammer lures how do you tell the difference between the old sledges and the new ones. John said he built and ran the "Original” for Randy for over 15 years and purchased the company from Randy in 2006.He told me the only difference in the lure is the 3D eyes, and a Small wall in the nose to keep the BB from getting stuck up there.
It doesn’t really sound like there is much of a different with the old lures VS the new ones. They both seem to work.

I live and fish in Ohio. I've run them both and haven't noticed much of a difference trolling or casting. They both catch fish.
