| What are the improvements on the latest version of the Super D? Plastic more durable? Harness flexible? I had a few problems with holes in the tail just behind the hook.
Thanks |

Location: Eagle River, WI | They do work differently than bulldawgs. But, that makes since, cuz they're not bulldawgs.
I actually prefer to use super d's when I'm fishing open water. If I'm ripping through the weeds or working a weed edge I prefer bullgawgs. Just my .02. |

Location: In a shack in the woods | They seem to work deeper than bulldawgs. I've done well with both. There's less flutter in the super d. I prefer slow rolling them over bulldawgs. As stated above dawgs are great for weedier areas. |

Location: Eagle River, WI | I think that the super d's are more front heavy than the dawgs. I agree that they have less flutter but I believe that mkes them sink a little faster which is why I like to work them over open water. |

| And here I thought it was just me that thought the tail was a little more lively on the Bulldawgs. The regular Bulldawg is just a tad bigger profile than the Super D as well. I like them both, but I generally reach for the BD first. I doubt the fish can tell a difference though, and I love all the color varieties of the Super D's. The price is great too. |

Location: syracuse indiana | they are both good, i use both and i do agree if your fishing open water and the baitfish are hanging deeper, in order to rip a bait through them , the sd is better for getting to the ball first than a bd. the baitshad are quick movers and your bait needss to get to them quick, so you can rip it through the ball and get the muskies attention, and this is already ben done before the bd will get there, the sd does sink faster, but when the ball is closer to the surface te bd does better.
brad and james make great baits . i will always support both of them .
as a note i am verry glad that brad went back to the older plastic and the new harness system (pro-dawg) brings back to the sevenstrand days when they were good, and i have about 10 originals that i still throw becouse they work and are easily fixable....bill |

| I have a bunch of both and like both I would have a hard time choosing, but just because of the price it makes more sense to me to purchase the super d's they are quite a bit less, buy three super d's for the price of two bulldawgs or better yet go to ebay and buy a super d for like 5 bucks! |

What bait are you referring to here? The Gen III Super Ds, Bulldawgs, and ProDawgs all have different harness systems. |

Location: syracuse indiana | hey jake i was talking about the split prodawg harness its like using a seven strand wire dawg, alot more movement in the water. better than the solid wire throuth the bait, now james does use a spiral like harness (body lock )that lt keeps the bait together in the head and MI did something like that too, so the head stays together and the weight wont push through like the cheap plastic dawgs did...bill |

Gotcha. Yep, new full body lock coil harness (GEN II coil harness was just at the head of the bait) and more durable plastic for the GEN III. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Sorry, just saw this.
On the new SuperDs I have out right now the differences are the following:
1) There was a "nub" at the end of the harness and it was just long enough to cause a few tails falling off. I only got a few emails about this but it was enough to jut reduce that nub length on the harness. All of my current SuperDs in my inventory and with the retailers have this new harness now.
2) Lure molds are new too. The a$$ end of the lure body right before the tail is now slightly thicker. Did that since I figured it would also help the tail problem.
3) 10% harder plastisol and we went with a plastisol from BASF just to make sure the consistency would be there from bait #1 to bait #100,000.
4) We modified the harness from the older double coil to a full coil harness. Why? Not sure, just looked better to me and it can't hurt to keep your lure catching fish into the double digits FYI-21 musky boated is a customer record. Only reason they stopped using it was musky #21 was their PB.
5) We still use triple split rings but I had two customer who almost lost fish on my older triple split rings (paper clipping). Again, only two complaints but that was enough to change the metal used. We now use triple split rings made out of the super strong tempered stainless steel material. The pull strength is over 175# on the Mag SuperDs now.
6) New eyes. They look more like a real fish eye with the tear drop shape. And we all know a musky coming in at 15mph looks at that! lol
7) New packaging for the retailers. We went with a new blister packaging and not the bag with card label.
Overall my cost to make the SuperDs went up by about 20% but we left the price the same. Figured with the economy the way it is some guys could use the extra few buck$ to go fishing.
If you have anymore questions please feel free to email me or ask here.
Thanks,
James

| thanks for the updates and detailed info James. Loved the old ones, can't wait to try the new ones. dawgs are nice, but you can keep a tight line easier on the drop with super D's, and they flat out tear up the fish! if bd's were priced the same, I'd still reach for super D's! |
