Tuffy 2060?

Wondering if Steve or someone else can help me with recommended transducer locations for my 2060.

I am putting a Humminbird side imagine unit on my 2060 and trying to determine where the both the SI transducer and a through hull transducer should go to make sure there is no interference. I have a 225 and 9.9 kicker rigged on the boat.

Thanks for your help.

I have a SI unit on my 1890 and have my SI transducer mounted right above the pad about a 1" above the bottom to prevent damage to it, I have a thru hull mounted in the middle of the hull about 6" from the back of the boat

If you don't do a through hull, then mount it to the side opposite of the kicker motor. I'm moving mine opposite for next season, because I get some interference from the kicker when trolling faster than idle. Do a search in the Tuffy Boats section, and you'll see several instances of rigging.

and when installing a thru-hull, make sure it's far enough back towards the transom that you get it into the sump area. you'll feel the slight shelf/drop where the bottom of the boat slides down around the pumps in front of the drain hole - that's where you want to be.
if you mount it too far forward up on the thicker section of the floor the signal will get disrupted. mounting it further back in the thinner sump area will allow you to get a clear crisp signal at high speed.

This is how I did it on my 619, and it works perfectly. If you've got this transducer in order to get it to go horizontal like that you need to file notches on the bracket.

Steve and Moreyes,

I want to make sure I have the SI mounting correct. Is it mounted on the step ahead of the transom or on the transom itself?

Thanks for your help
