| Any one try to cut a slot through the bait with and saw instead of drilling? Pro's Con's?

| I usally always cut a slot in larger pieces , cut my stock in half, saw the slot down thw middle of the 2 pcs. and then carefully glue up w/ titebond 2and clamp and set overnite. then when you turn set your lathe centers in the holes on each end, alttle more work but if you do a bunch a whole lot less headache than trying to drill perfect thru the center. | |

| we drill thru our baits. some guys use a thin kerf saw for slotting, and epoxy. others make there baits in 2 pcs. | |
