I bought an 11 inch AP lure that came without hooks and I have a few questions. How far is the bait supposed to sink? Because with 5/0 hooks the bait barely floats and with 7/0 hooks it only sinks about an inch under the surface. Is it supposed to be a very shallow? What size hooks come standard on this bait/what size should I try?

Location: Minneapolis		Those lures run very shallow. I don't remember what size hooks I have on mine.
