| (the other new additions post is getting a little long, so thought I would make a new one)
Thor Pearson and Odyssey Lures (www.odysseylures.com) have just amazed me with their generosity!!! Heading in a number of new directions, Thor wanted to open up some of their newer additions to their overall product line. With both BobM and Mr. Tuomi (sorry, I didn't catch the first name) no longer affiliated in any way shape or form with Odyssey lures; they have newly acquired both Ukko North America and the Phantom and Viper product lines. These events may not be the freshest news, but I have it on Thor's word that Odyssey is making a very serious move towards going away from the foam construction (again, I apologize if I am simplifying) to more of a wood-based construction. This will greatly enhance both the consistency of the bait's productivity in the water, but will also cut down greatly on variability between the baits off the shelf. But to showcase some of their newer items, Odyssey is donating:
1. Ukko U30 Crankbait - 12"
2. Ukko U40 Crankbait - 16"
3. Ukko U60 Crankbait - 26.5" (!!!!) and yes, it does catch muskies, I was told that a 47" was taken on the 26.5" size just recently.
4. Phantom Glider
5. 5.5" Phantom Glider
6. Viper Topwater/Glider
To contact Odyssey directly about their enhanced product line or to check out the large number of products already listed with them go to their website at www.odysseylures.com. In addition you can contact them in more "traditional" manners through:
P.O. Box 253

Phone: (651)653-6810
Fax: (651)653-6881
All we can say is THANKS A LOT ODYSSEY, and we look forward to seeing you on the site in the future!!

| slamr, you mean they will start to make wooden pigs after the English original ones?
we use the ukko 40cm and ukko 60cm for trolling for pike here as well. Never know if a catfish or a huge pike grabs it. So far the biggest was 112cm on a 40cm one. | |

| Ever look out from that weed-bed or rock bar that you're beating to death...over to the expanses of open water and think: "how do I start chasing those PIGS I hear about that live in the deep?". I HAVE YOUR SOLUTION!!!
Paul Klein of Last Frontier Guide Service, one of the foremost practioners and teachers of the hunt for open water muskies, has graciously donated a day on the water to the Ashton Fund for the 20th of August!!! Having over 13 years of guiding experience, and 10 years of writing and lecturing, the winner of this offering puts themself in a position to open up a whole new world of possibilities in their muskie fishing methodology, to learn to chase and catch those fish that are rarely accessed by the masses of muskie crazies. Writing for both Musky Hunter and Esox Angler and sponsored by Tuffy Boats, Mercury Outboards, Frabil, and Bottom Line Electronics (among others), Paul brings not only years of experience, but a well equipped rig from which to enjoy your day on the water. Only thing you need to bring is a positive attitude and a few victory cigars for this day either late this fall or next year. This is yet another chance to chase Wisconsin Muskies with a recognized pro muskie fisherman!

| River Run Tackle (www.riverruntackle.com) have come up BIG for the auction!!! Having taken the muskie world by storm with the manta last year, they've now offered to give to the Ashton fund a chance for a lucky bidder to cash in on a few of the newer Super Shallow Mantas! Paul Peck, owner of River Run, has donated both 5 Mantas, and 5 Super Shallow Mantas! Though the manta is the most widely known of the River Run product line, they also offer crankbaits and topwaters (to my knowledge counting down River Run crankbaits was the key to success for the team that took the Madison event on the PMTT). To view both the Manta and Super Shallow Manta as well as the rest of the River Run product line go to their website at www.riverruntackle.com or via....

| Here's another one I gurantee none of you saw coming...
The fine folks out at Down-East Sportscraft, Inc. manufacturer of the Down-East Fishing Rod Holders have offered up a lot of 4 S-10 Salty Rod Holders. Basically the standard for removeable rod holders, they are easy to use, durable and will fit even the largest of muskie rods. Being that the rod holders can be pointed and angled in many ways they are not only a great tool for trolling (flat line, prop wash, planer board, etc.) but serve well as holders to keep the rods out of the way during the cold months of sucker season. For a closer view of the S-10s go to http://www.down-east.com/salty_s10.htm. And for more information on the entire Down-East product line go to http://www.down-east.com or email at [email protected] or call 800-553-7323.

Schunke Hydraulic Fishing Lures (www.schunkelures.com), maker of the Bugsy Bait, have gone WWWWAAAAAYYYYYY overboard in showing their generosity and their committment to the muskie world!!! They've generously donated a full assortment of the Bugsy Bait, both in the rattle style, as well as without rattles....10 of each style, all colors you see on their site!!! The Bugsy has a very erratic two foot side-to-side motion that DOES NOT require any fancy twitching or jerking. The Bugsy runs two to eight foot deep depending on the retrieval speed you choose, making this bait ideal for many conditions. Schunke also sells some really hot inline spinners, using rubber tails and grubs in the place of traditional hair. | Everyone needs line rod the reels right? Now one of the biggest names in superlines has offered to lend a helping hand in our quest to raise the full $10,000!!!
Western Filament (http://www.wfilament.com/), maker of Tuff-Line, Tuff-Line Plus, and Tuff-Line XP has offered to donate a number of 150 yard spools of their premium brand Tuff Line! Their "salt and pepper" line, TUF-Line is manufactured with Spectra® fibers and has an amazing 4% stretch which translates into super sensitivity and more powerful hook sets when compared to monofilament. TUF-Line is also hydrophobic, meaning it repels water and won't swell in diameter. TUF-Line is over 40% smaller in diameter than equivalent test monofilaments, which substantially reduces line drag.
