| Ok guys What kind of wood do you guys use for making blanks outof im really starting to gets into this lure making by reading everything i can bout makeing lures i have all the wood tools its just trying to figure out what wood and how to make and airbrush any help will be greatful

| Depends alot on what type of bait your making, (topwaters) i like white pine , cedar or basswood. ( pull and rise jerkbaits ) white pine and cedar. ( gliders ) maple, oak ,cedar , butternut the heavier hardwoods seem to work better , do not have to add as much weight, but the softwoods give different actions than the hardwoods. (crankbaits ) maple, poplar and cedar. don't be afraid to experiment , everyone has their favorites, trial and error are your best teachers.  | |
