Sure, I was going to e-mail you about that soon. I want you to have one before you go. I’m going to have to paint one of my existing baits, there aren’t that many around yet. What color pattern do you like for up there?
Make sure Doug gives it a wing too.

black hawg wobbler... that one gets 'em to bite... hands down...

i love topraiders- or at least how they look and sound- but don't have much action with them- not like the hawg wobblers...

I think we're all fond of our tallywackers but my favorite topwater lure is the Topwalker in Black/Orange.

Please define "topwater"!

Little Jake (Durst Purple ) and Lil' Ernie (Durst Purple Daze)-both twitched on the surface!!!! Definetely get's their attention--> Eat me!!! Not what you'd think of as traditional surface baits- but innovation on the water is key to putting Muskies into the net! Not affiliated w/ Stan in any way-But this color works, i.e. -> Durst's Purple! Can't wait to pitch them at Cass Lake end of Sept!

Hawg wobbler when it's calm
and a modified wacker I have in the chop!

If it is calm, a black husky sized Hog Wobbler is my choise. If there are any waves upto and including breaking white caps, a black Slammer Thunderhead is the hot ticket!

My most fish catchinest bait would be a Poe's Awaker, been beat up almost to the point of no return, but I think the basement repairs may have stretched it for a few more fish. I'm also a huge fan of the Top Raiders, and no basement work required with these fellas.

Topraider is good
LeLure Creepers or old Hi Fin wooden ones.
"RP" Custom globes are the best I have ever used.
Thunderheads are a must in the chop

I will be trying a few lures custom made by Joel Wick next year, so I might have to modify this list at that time.

Black Bird Topraider. I usually don't throw no other...ahhhh..... that is if I don't cut hooks on the back hook of the Blackbird and have to reach for the Coot. LOL that kinda sounds like a crazy duck hunting story. Eh?

cach ya on the coot flipping side,

Has to be the doc. Although I was disappointed when I was going to get a black one recently, but noticed the belly is black now instead of orange.
