| I'm just wondering if anybody has an opinion on what would be the best Eagle River (AREA) lake to have a numbers day. Maybe in that 38-45 inch range? |

| Not trying to sound like iihuoo but 38-45 in Wisconsin is not a numbers lake, it is a trophy lake. A numbers lake is 30-38 where two guys out in a boat all day have a pretty good chance at a fish each. Honestly, I fished two or three days out of every seven all summer long, and even though I caught three in ten minutes one evening, only averaged a bit less than one fish per day here in Dairyland. Sure, I'm not a professional guide, but this "numbers" thing is probably a little blown out of perspective. Two fish in a three day weekend is still a good weekend. Marty Forman |

I got a 45" and a 43" out of there. But, I will be the first to say that I won't be going there at all this year, and I live 5 minutes away from there. I haven't caught a fish out of this supposed "numbers" lake in 2 years. I don't know what in the hell happened out there. Even the creel survey guy I was talking to at the boat landing said he hadn't registered a fish out of there all year. |

| I agree with Marty, a 38-45" NUMBERS lake in WI....I can't think of one. That said, ER chain is/can be a great numbers water for fish up to 38'. I like many catch fish over 40", but a not a lot and not a regular basis. Good overcast conditions will give you a lot of action and a shot at multiple fish. Fish in the 32"-36" range are common with some nicer ones mixed in. |

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | Depends on what you consider a “numbers” lake. Perhaps you should clarify on how many fish you are looking at catching in a day.
Lots of lakes around ER that have the ability to put out multiple fish days…on the right day. Several of them do fall into that class of putting out multiple 38-45” fish in a day, but again you have to hit it right. Last year my “numbers” water was my worst lake to fish as it put out a limited number of fish for me.

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Can't really go to far wrong sticking to the two chains, Eagle and Three Lakes. Eagle is a lot busier, both are busier than some of the smaller lesser known lakes. Most of the "busy" isn't musky fisherman though, you might have most of the spots to yourself, especially during the week. |

| I spent a lot of weekends staying in the E. River area the last few summers. My routine was to fish the Sugar Camp chain Friday afternoon and evening, E. River Chain all day Saturday and then Three Lakes on the way back home on Sundays. I guess that's around 20 lakes with plenty of good spots for eating and drinking, always able to find yourself a little spot to fish out of traffic and a pretty darn nice way to spend a weekend away from home. A couple of hundred other lakes you could reach in an hour too....God's country! Marty Forman |

| Most Saturdays, I stayed home in the Milwaukee area and fished Pewaukee Lake. Compared to that, an Eagle River Saturday seems like a Ghost Town. Marty Forman |

| Fish the Chains......ER or 3 Lakes. Lots of room to fish on both. I don't know of any lakes that are number lakes, but there are muskies in both of the chains for sure. The numbers are up to the angler.  |
