Just wondering what rod blank I should use to get for my new setup? Money is not an option. So, what is the best....St.Croix, G-Loomis, Diamondback, or any others out there better. I want the best!

Thanks,

Any one of the blanks that you said will work and are a good stick. It comes down to personal preferance. I like the 8 foot All Star blank Thore Bros. used for a bucktail rod for me a few years back. I have a couple of Sage blanks that work real nice. I don't think the name of the blank is the first priority. Have them make the rod action and handle length to what you want!

Bill gives you some good advice. There are many good blank manufacturers out there. You've got to get the right one for the application and fishing style that YOU want. That's the beauty of a custom rod, you get what you want.

Personally, I like the quality and action of many of the St. Croix rods and use many of them in the rods I build. But I've had clients specify a particular blank because they've handled a rod in a store, liked the action but not other things about the rod.
