Location: Hayward, WI | Now that the Pro Dawg has been out for a season, I wondered what the guys that used them thought of them. I bought a few of the custom colored Dawgs with new rubber, and was impressed with them, but the ones I bought had the standard solid wire harness.
How do the Pro Dawgs work? Do they run pretty straight, or do they tend to wander to one side? It seems like if they tracked to one side, they couldn't be tuned to change that. True?

Location: Otsego, MN | I used them in the pounder size this season. I loved them, they seemed more durable and had a lot more action than the old pounder. I had no trouble throwing in adjustments to the dawgs, just bend them as you would the dawgs of old. They seemed not to bend as much as the old ones, but were still good baits. |

| We had a pro dawg pounder that we could not tune. I doubt the worlds strongest men could have tuned it, well maybe? Only one I have tried and never bought another one after one bad experience. Small sample size, but I was pretty disappointed. The lure wasn't even close to running straight. Don't they test them before they put them for sale on the racks? |

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | I have eight of the Pro Dawgs, 4-pounders and 4-mag.dawgs and they work just fine.... A lot more durable than the older ones, with a bit more action because they are not as ridged as the solid wire ones.
I throw Dawgs a lot , and last summer I had more action on the pro dawgs than the older ones.
If you don't like them, then send them to me.

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | I have 10 plus pro dawgs and maybe 4-5 I can not get to run right so I work them slower that will help so they don't pull to one side. |

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | Ahhh, Can't you guys take a pair of pliers and bend the eyelet to get it to run one way or another ?
Thats what I did to one of mine last yr. and it worked fine, besides, don't we want them to run a bit crazy(side to side,up and down)
Cast, pause,reel,pull,pull,pause.......Jerk,reel....jerk,jerk,pause...... Whammm!!
A straight retrieve won't get bit as much, IMHO.......... Man, I need to go to Cave Run ! White and Creamsickle Dawgs work great there.

Location: Kodiak, AK | I've got probably 10 or 12 of them in pounder and mag size and I like them alot. Nailed a nice 47 on one and she shredded it, but it was still fishable whereas the old ones would have lost a tail or had chunks out. I like them, and haven't had any trouble with them running straight. |

Location: Hayward, WI | Hmmm, somewhat mixed reviews. Jerome, I do want my Dawgs to run left, right, up down, etc. What I don't want them to do is run left, left, left, left, left... So bending the front eyelet helped get the baits running straight? I like the idea of the flexible body, I just don't want to get a dumb one that only runs to one side without a cure.

Just to clarify because I get quite a few questions and there seems to be a lot of confusion on the standard dawgs versus pro dawgs....This part isn't unique to the Pro Dawgs. While this is true about the "old ones", the new bulldawgs (standard harness or pro dawg harness) are all made out of more durable plastisol and hold up to more abuse.

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | Curly, You can bend the eyelet enough to cause your Dawg to "lean" to either left, right ,or straight.
Even after a fish has blasted the dawg, it may need to be re-tuned, or tweeked somewhat.
Don't be afraid to get a few more........They catch fish... Just ask the Bad Fish Crew.
