Did anyone else receive this discount in the mail ?
If so just wondering if anyone used it and what the discount is.

I used the employee discount for military, law enforcement, ems day a few months back. They would not tell you exactly what the discount was, because it varied by product. From what I could gather, the discount was around 5-10% on some higher end electronics and stuff and was up to around 25% on Cabelas brand equipment and clothes. I have been told the employee pricing used to be a much higher discount, but it has been lowered in recent years. I think you can use most of those discounts online too, which is nice.

I got it as well...was not sure how much it would be, but it might be nice to use...I might just have to make a trip...
Which one would you go to bridge?

Yes, the discount varies on every item and even employees have to look up items to find out what it is. If you stop in the store, I think pretty much anyone can help determining what the discount is as long as you show the card to them and it is in person. (can't get it over the phone, etc). You also get the better of the prices, if it is on sale it might be lower than the discount......

The employee discount was changed in '08. The store manager in one of the Eastern stores told me it was lowered in order to keep from cutting the labor force or trim back hours with the current employees. The Cabela's brand clothing has the highest mark-up and will usually have the best deals. Your best bet is to find something with the Cabela's label on it in order to receive the best deal.
