Location: SE Wisconsin | I adore specific characteristics of muskies, and have on occasion seen all these characters built into individual fish that take my breath away when I see pictures. . . Some fish are orange-ish or greenish, and some are greyish. Amongst these colors are well defined bars, some spotted, some no-barred. What to you makes up the prettiest musky, and can we please see it?
I'll post one tonight, but I'll admit, the fish that trips my trigger has never met me face to face. . . I'll have to ask a couple guys to post their fish that I admire so much, too.

Sometimes, it seems that the smallest muskies have the prettiest markings. Here's one that is literally the smallest ski I've ever caught. And it happens to be my Dad's first that he's ever seen. The colors just seem to really pop on this one. Notice how even the fins have some spots on them. This strain of fish is actually a Northern strain and grows up to have only bars.

Location: SE Wisconsin | I like the white edging on the fins, it reminds me of a brookie. This fish is as pretty as I've had in my boat, but still not my ideal I especially like a fish with a very defined belly line where the sidewall color transitions into pure white belly. |

Ok, so you're a belly man, huh? LOL! How 'bout the creamy belly on this one? My brother caught this 45"er this fall. Same lake as the last baby I just posted.

| This is a fish I chased for a few days two years ago. It was a healthy 51 caught on a metro MN lake by Hammskie. I have never seen another like it! It had tiny spots all the way up to the cheeks and was almost completely silver with a very light greenish/teal back. There is almost no contrast between the white belly and the main body silver. Also the fins were more orange than red. By far, the most beautiful muskie I've seen and very unique.

Location: SE Wisconsin | I sincerely hope J.Long doesn't mind me posting his fish, but aside from Killips and Nelson's muskies, this is IMO, one of the most gorgeous muskies (pictures) I have ever laid eyes on. There's something about that greyish color with the red fins that is so cool. Add that to a well define belly and "wow".
