Could someone please explain the weighting with lead process. I've been using egg sinkers, but you have to drill so deep to get an extra 1-1.5 oz. How do you pour the lead, where do you get it, is it safe, is there other suitable material?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have hot pot, Lee's I think. has room underneath the spigot for lures and I fill the holes from the pot. Have seen a spoon used too. Lead has to be REALLY hot to give off fumes that are dangerous. Be careful when it is in liquid form, no water nearby, just asking for it if you do. Burns badly. Wear gloves, eye protection, an apron. Wear old clothes, protect your skin.
