| Too hard to choose just one as they all have a time and place. I like the Top Raider under calm to mild chop. I have the most confidence in this bait and it's usually the first on the line.
The Pacemaker gets the nod when I want a bit more noise or a slightly different sound, and it also works very well in a good chop.
I LOVE the sound of the Chopper; for a bait the size of a Top Raider it produces twice the sound and the sound seems to be a lower pitch than the Top Raider (almost a "thud" or as some have described it a "bark"). However, mine seems to continually roll and so doesn't get as much playing time. It does not have the wire keel extension off the front hook. Anyone have a solution to this problem? PM if you'd like. |

Choppers are my favorite. 17 fish on 1 of them and still in good running shape. I've got a few others with 2-4 fish on each also.
The sound is unmatched.....
Topraiders and Pacemakers work well also, but my confidence is in the chopper. |

| although i voted for the large pacemaker (fantastic topwater) i was surprised to see no Hawg Wobbler.. another fantastic bait that is kind of "one of a kind" that works quite well if you can stand the bordom. |

most success for my boat has been Lee's Chopper probably 2 to 1..but then again I throw that more often....
I had forgotten about the trusty ol TopRaider for a while and there are times I have seen fish prefer the TopRaider sound over a Chopper...same w/ pacemaker...if you are going to buy 3, imo get those 3 and be done.
Lee is also going to have a Mag size Chopper available this winter which I'm sure the muskies will dig. |

| Haven't heard about the Lee Tauchen lures before but based on this poll it would appear that they are pretty good. Would be interested in some more info, what is their nitch, etc...
Similar to Esox50, I had a hard time picking between the pacemaker and topraider as I prefer the pacemaker for chop, and pacemaker when it is flat. |

| I still find that some seasons it is all about the tallywhacker getting hit. It may be overuse of other sounds, particularly the top raider. I also still like the teaser tail. I have never got a fish on a topraider I have bought but now have seven on a friends that I borrow, which was an early one.
Lee's chopper does it now, but I was very surprised this summer to find the same appearing baits have very different sounds when used. Didn't expect that and have found it impossible to tune to the same sound. You wouldn't think plastic baits would be so idiocentric. |

Didn't expect that and have found it impossible to tune to the same sound. You wouldn't think plastic baits would be so idiocentric.
I also like the Teaser tail, but I wish they were built better. I have a few Pacemakers and some of them sound LOUD, other not so much. Weird. |

I know there is a difference in the success rate in my boat. Whether there is a sound difference? I don't have adequate hearing to say. |
