Anybody use this GPS/Sonar system. I just got one real cheap from Cabela's, and I am wondering which features it doesn't have that the Lowrance version has?

Lowrance has the ability to network the fishfinders and add a million accessories. Also, they have a flasher mode and usually better resolution and more power. But, this is not always the case.

I'm only using the GPS function. Won't even hook up a transducer, as I am running a Garmin 400C on my console as a sonar already, and I'm only running 1 GPS on my boat, so I don't think it'll bother me too much if I can't network them. For the $ I couldn't pass it up!!

I am thinking about buying one too. Great price. Is it a good unit though?

I have a 500c and it works very well!! Takes both lakemaster and navionics cards so you can get the really detailed stuff...

I'd say go for it!!

I ran the 642 CIGPS unit and absolutely loved them. The only downside was not being able to network them together but it was not that important for me with them. I would not hesitate to purchase one again. Very detailed on the GPS side of things. If it is a good price I would jump on it. I had them mounted front and rear.

These units are now $369 @ cabelas! That is a great deal. They cost 60+ tax in Canada! There are still more left if anyone is looking for a cheap gps. From what I hear these units also mark fish very well and are a good cheap alternative if you can't afford the HDS units from Lowrance.

I bought one, and the only problem I have found is this, I can't find a Power ONLY Cord, I don't want to run the transducer, just the GPS? Anybody know where to get a power only cord?
