Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | Does anybody know if the river, south of Nakosa to Petenwell will likely be frozen in the next few weeks ? and is this still open to fish for muskie? Or, am I waisting my time.
(No Pointer, I didn't look it up in the Reg book.....I'm having a lazy moment)
I'm getting a case of "EARLY" cabin fever.

Location: The desert | Well the reg book wouldn't tell you if it would be frozen or not, so no real reason to look there.
Are Nakosa and Petenwell south of Hwy 10? If so, you have your answer  |

| yes it's open for fishing through the end of December.
and yes there will be at least some open water depending how long you wait.

Location: north central wisconsin | some open water on the WI river yet, primarily below the dams. Some of the landings are getting iced in though, so be sure to check the day or so before venturing forth. |

Location: north central wisconsin | Jerome, sorry, been awhile since I checked in here. Would have been hard pressed to get a boat in about anywhere around the 18th. There is always some open water on the river, getting to it is another thing. If you are looking for conditions reports for this area, please by all means email me. Some of the fish you helped us stock, are getting to the size that you'll want to catch next year...
