Subject: stolen equipment

Fellow Green Bay Musky anglers. I just wanted to put the word out on the street that on
11-30-09 or 12-01-09 I had someone steal approximatly $15,000.00 to $20,000 worth of musky gear including rods (fenwick rods)/ reel (shimano LC) combos, off shore planner boards, 400 to 450 musky lures, electronics, multipule trays of walleye lures and a lot of other equipment from my boat. If anyone has any info on the low lifes that did this I will put up a reward of $500.00 cash plus a free musky guide trip for a name of the individual involved.

We had a great year on the water chasing Giant GB Muskys until this happend.

Thanks and good fishing,

That sucks, sorry for your loss!
I hope insurance covers a good portion and you can recoup something for yourself.
May bad karma follow those responsible until you are made whole again.

man ,bret i feel for you. i dont know what i would do if that happened to me. i know i have insurance but thats not the thing. heck just yesterday i almost burned down my garage and all my equipment was in there boat and all. i forgot to turn off a soldering iron on my workbench after working on a lure and a rag got tossed onto it. lucly it smoked and we my older son seen it an we got it out. i had a blonde moment and it almost cost me everything and with the wind we had yesterday it would have taken the house too. i have to be more carefull..
but actually i had 7000.00 worth of hunting equipment stolen from me 2 years ago and it hurt bad. atleast insurance payed me back. but it was alot of stuff that was hard to replace...bill

This is a sad real life example of why we should all call our Insurance agents and find out if you really are covered for that kind of a loss. Many of us assume because we have insurance and the boat may be stored at home that the boat and/or homeowners insurance will cover a loss of this value. The fact is, it probably won't unless you have specific coverage for that value and that kind of personal items.

Sons of bi@(&es!!!!!! Wow, don't know Tilky personally but man that peees me
off as well. Would love to get my hands on a guy with a truck full of stolen gear on or off duty. That's why I love my job, I get paid to lock up these sob's. On the lighter side I'm sure every vendor at every show this winter will have their mouths watering when they see Tilky come walling down the aisle

I know exactly how you feel as I had all my rods and baits stolen in September. Unfortunately this has been happening way to often all over. I hope they find these low-life idiots and lock them up.

Bret..........Ashwaubenon P.D. busted two 18 year old punks for rippin off equipment out of boats last year around this time. I can't recall the Investigators name who handled the case but these two dirt bags might be back at it again or they might know who stole your stuff. I know this because it was a buddys equipment that was stolen last year in a motel parking lot. Give Ashwaubenon detectives a call and they can look up the case.

They recovered a ton of stolen stuff last year.

Best of luck,

Steve

Watch eBay and Craigslist for your items. Know a few people in Michigan who recovered their own stuff, because it was spotted on one of these site for sale.

Also, if you marked your equipment with any kind of ID markings, spread the word. Initials etched in dive lip or marked on lures with Sharpies, can save some pain later, even though time consuming to do.

Hope you get all your items back.
