| I make my own. I buy 1.5 oz bodies from Stamina....they have a new name now, but I can't remember it off-hand.......anyway, I add a Single #10 Indiana blade, a combination of bucktail, flashabou dressing and a big grub. You'd swear you were reeling in a big-lipped crank with all of the thumping. This tactic works all year, out on deep weed edges and points and especially inside turns. Don't be in a hurry. Let it flutter down to keep it down, rip/pause is also good, but you can't beat a low and slow straight in retrieve.
Does JLong still make spinnerbaits? Before I made my own I used his and CJ's with a big single Indiana. |

When truly targeting lure depths of 20 feet or more, I prefer a 4 oz. head to increase drop rate and a smaller blade (#8 Indiana) for less lift and good "thump" at slow speed. A "lift and drop" retrieve also helps attain greater depth since it adds a free fall.

Location: Kronenwetter, WI | Ditto on making own. If you attach a pair of 10s to a split ring and attach that to a BB swivel and shrink wrap the swivel to the arm they spin like mad even at the slowest speeds. |

Location: Kinkaid Lake, IL | Magnum nut buster from Llungen Lures. 10 blade or bigger is the key for me. Ace tandem are also a good, but don't have the real heavy weight. You have to add it to the tandem.

If you need more weight you can always clamp a gutted rubber core sinker on the hook shaft or in front of the head. Who cares if it's pretty? I wish I could find heavier ones for sale, but might have to buy a mold. If I get a mold, I'd like to get a 3 and 4 ounce mold that takes a nice round bend hook. Wide hook gap is a plus on any spinnerbait.
Jason, just saw your site and your slow rollers. Here I thought I couldn't find them heavier than 2. We might have to talk. 
Never saw the Llungen, but I like rollin' my own when I can, just for fun.

| Willey's T-5 are nice for deep water casting and trolling high and I like the T-10's for trolling deeper structure. The Muskie Machinery spinnerbaits for the flutter down on casting spots are sweet too. (I just can't remember all the names for his baits). |
