Ok, so I'm gonna ask for some assistance on this. I know how to winterize 2stroke motors...but I've never tried a 4-stroke and took my cover off yesterday to do so and just put the cover back on after realizing technology has come a long way!

I read the manual, but all it says is to store the batteries and run fuel stabilizer.

A few questions if someone could help me out...

1) When runnning the fuel out of the engine...where do you disconnect the fuel line? There are about 5 different places this can be done. I tried disconnecting right were the fuel line goes in from the boat line, but there seems to be a reservoir for fuel and i let it run for like 15 minutes and it never ran out. Plus I see that there is no bulb on my fuel line and so i thought if I emptied the whole reservoir, might take a while to start in the spring and re-fill the reservoir.

2) Fogging spark plugs...i see there are some special caps on the plugs that require loctite and certain pressure to retighten. I also see there is an air valve on the fuel line that runs into the engine...is that where to put in the fogger?

Again, this technology has confused me and I thought I would ask for specific instructions from someone who might have the same or similar engine that has done this before.

If anyone has specific instructions on how to run fuel out and/or how to properly winterize the engine, it would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with winterizing this engine and/or how to do it properly?

I have the 2003 115 4 stroke, and i run stabilizer in the motor for 10 minutes, and thats it. dont drain the fuel...

I was also told not to fog these motors because of the fuel injectors, dont remember why exactly... just put some oil into the cylinders and turn the fly wheel..

also change the lower unit oil, and thats it... have had it for 3 years, starts perfect every spring...
