Fished out of Baystore Resort from Oct.25 tell Nov.2
Report:
For us this year things where very tuff!!! Old trolling runs held no bait fish and no muskies. Went to try new spots and found muskies and played the wind a lot more. Water temps in the main lake started at 44 and 9 days later got down to 42.5 not much of a drop. We got 10 fish 37",40",40",44",45.5",46",46",49",50 1/4" & 52" = 45" avg. Not to bad but our numbers where way down from the past 9 years but also we only fished 9 days not the norm 14 days so maybe things could of turned around with the cooler night temps coming. The 52" come on Halloween morning and the 50 1/4" come on the Full moon morning and both fish where caught on the same SPOT 43 .75 hours apart and we caught a fish 6 out of 9 days at MOON RISE of withenin about 10 min. of it.

The fish in the fall on the woods are rarely thin. They are feeding on whitefish and tulibee at that time.
During the summer months, at times the musky are on the thin side,....BUt this past summer, with the cooler than normal temps, the fish were plump most of the year.
Nice fish...and great shot at the 50 1/4". Think the 52" went 40lbs.? Girth??

My wife and I were just up for 10 days prior to your trip. We landed 35 ski's...one was 51, but did not average 45".

I think I recognize the 49"ers spot!
Frank is a great host!!!

Gorgeous fish!!! Good Job!

Boy you guys left a week too early. The fatsos have really showed up, and as far as I can tell, there is only one boat out there. A white one, now that you ask.

Great trips for both groups. Darren, Carol, Jerry, Jim & Lynne.

YA well some people have jobs (Kind da) we try to pick our trips as much as we can!!! Even if we did not catch a muskie the time we spent @ Baystore Camp was way worth it and we learned a lot!!!! There was a white Nitro I seen following us around a lot but that day when we had 35 to 50 mgh guest and they went a way I did not give then a second thought!!!!! It's not the spot it is how you WORK IT.!!!

Congrats Darren. Been following your successes up there since I started going to Franks a few years back. Even though it is LOTW(the 8th wonder of the world as someone once said), your run of consistancy there is noteworthy. You have created your own luck, as anyone who produces in any/all conditions can attest to! Congrats again, off to the bowstand.
