The wiring cable that runs from my 1987 Evinrude 40 hp tiller to my battery is frayed pretty badly. It even had some trouble starting the last time I had her out.

Where can I get a replacement for this cable? Is it difficult to replace?

use a cheap set of jumper cables and some crimps from the hardware store.$25 tops .five times that at a service shop.be sure the jumper cables are the same gauge wire or larger than the exisiting power cables.that what i used on my last boat>

Go to an electrical wholesale shop. You can get 6ga or 4ga wire for about $1.50/ft, and connecters for about $5 then your good to go.
