Has anyone every had issues with leaving their rods in a unheated cabin all winter long? I know this is a silly question but is there any damage I can be doing to the rod by exposing it to such hard conditions?

Thanks!

Half of Mine go in the Basement at Home and the other half are in my unheated Cabin during the winter.
I have never had a problem with the Rods that stay in the Unheated Cabin.
Just my 2 cents

Personally i would take them out of the unheated cabin. Not sure why i think that thou but i do recall not wanting to use graphite rods when fishing very cold weather. I keep mine in my cabin, but its never below 50 degrees as i keep the heat at 50 when i am not there.

There's no way to damage a rod in cold storage unless the rod is not completely dry when put away.
BTW, cold temps do not affect carbon/graphite, but prolonged exposure to moist/damp conditions can cause corrosion on guide feet and pitted cork.

I store mine out on the front porch, stays about the same temp as outside and never had an issue. I also use them when it below 32 without a problem.
