Heading up to the Tomahawk Rhinelander area on Friday to winterize the cabin & do some fishing. This time last year on Squirrel produced a 41" tiger & a 44"er, so I'm considering fishing it on Saturday. Does anyone have reports on this body of water?

Thanks
Mike

Fished Squirel on Saturday, moved one fish on a depthraider on the west side of the island near the deeper water. Had a pick up on a sucker, set the hook & came up with a sucker with a mangled tail. Saw a few other muskie fishermen out & one said he caught a big fat 46"er on a sucker right in front of entrance to Inkspot in 25' of water. Water is clear & temps were 39 when we started & 41 at the end of the day. Green weeds on the west end, but didn't see anything, the wind made it hard to stay there, so we roamed around trying to learn other spots. Going back up on Friday to find that fat winter fish that's keeping me awake at night.

We've been finding fish right on the edge of any green weeds you can find. Mag bulldawgs, gliders, and big suckers. We were letting the mag dawgs sink into the weeds and then checking to see if they were green or not. Boat control was tough but, it was worth it if it meant we were catching fish.
