| So you do think he's doing it wrong?
|
|
|
|
| He learned how to make those from one of the best in the business and he also tends to put some fairly large fish in the boat a regular basis...so yes I am sure the way he is doing it is just fine...Ben |

| Its the way Andy Morraler from NJ who introduced fluro carbon to the industry back in 94 showed me

This is how I make them with a cup to cup pliers, NEVER use a point to cup for F/C leaders. U can also go to http://www.leadertec.com for more info on making F/C leaders.

Location: oswego, il | I have always crimped the way Pikemater has shown it. I would have to say if Thorpe was to be doing it wrong, he would have known it by now. It obviosly works just fine. I have been asked to make some with those springs, i wonder where he gets them. |

| i think thaT kind of leaders can make some nice noise when the springs move on those snaps.also seems to be the way to go when its time to troll some cranks, its a kind of rapala knots that allow the baits to move more freely |

| good pics and examples of crimping
On thing also is I mushroom my flro ahead of the crimp so this may add less slip also or diminish failure.
I did get to see Stealth Tackle leaders this summer,Pete Maina had some, they seem very well built.
Although I know many use em,I have not
