Subject: Im spinning ????


Now that I dont have a motor until insurance settles and I can find a good used one the back transom of my boat is empty,,,however I went out on a city lake electrics only and the boat hauls A## but,but, every time I take my foot off the pedal and the boat slows down while casting I start doing fish tails,,rear end of boat wannts to swing forward even at crawl speeds,,3 batterys in back of boat has weight but anybody have any ideas to counter the 'fishtailing' more weight? a make shift rudder ?? the boat wouldnt do this when I had the motor raised out of water before

Fill your boat halfway with water and troll a legend 14” 25 feet back with the rod holder centered on you transom.[:p]

Even with the motor raised, part of the lower unit remains in the water acting as a rudder of sorts. The added weight of the motor on the stern also helps to counter sideways drift.

The drift bag will definitely do the trick. Tie it off short, directly off the back of the boat.[:praise:]
