Suick will do well with that lure. Glad they bought it. Suicks are my favorite lure and I am sure they will continue to make the Weagle very very well. I think Steve takes is family name serious

Is there a press release or a thread around here somewhere on this subject?

As a bait maker I can tell you the Weagle is and was thought out well. From the first ones from Cady to Lukes Mojos each builder put his own magic into the lures. I have Weagles from both builders. I cant wait to see what Suick does with it. I will have to have some of those as well. I am sure they will be quality lures. Mike King Talonz wooden Lure Company

If the Weagle brand has to change hands, I can't think of another wood bait manufacturer that I would be more comfortable with than Steve Suick and his Suick Co. to take it over.
So many times a bait company grows, peaks, sometimes regresses. It then gets taken over by someone with all sorts of enthusiasm, good intentions, but limited abilities and financial strength.
It is nice to see it being taken over by a long established firm like Steve's.

does this mean that 9 out of 10 weagles will now only run to the right
Hooker, if you have Suicks you don't like, send them to me, I will gladly take the ones you can't get to run.
Some of my best Suicks came from people that said they couldn't get them to run right. That reminds me...Thanks for the one last winter Troyz!

Yep the suick requires skill to work properly some of the time...but put in the right hand of an accomplished angler there might not be a better bait....

Here is a thought, for you guys that want the heavier weagles start a poll here and see how many requests you can get. Then see if Steve Suick will make a limited run. It might cost a couple of bucks more( limited run of blanks cost more per piece), the Demand has to be there.

Still prefer Cady Weagles! But we will see what Steve can do. Time will tell.
Agreed...the Mojos were a tad too bouyant, hopefully Suick can find that "sweetspot" again.
BenR, the Suick is about one of the easiest baits to work of any jerkbait...have you ever actually used one?
A bucktail is easy to use, the tricks you call pull with a suick take experience, perhaps at some point you will learn them..good luck.

10 out of 10 off the shelf don't work "right." But they are very sensitive to tuning, which is required of every one. Suicks do indeed require a learning curve you can't complete without playing with at least a couple of them. Took me years, but now they are one of my top baits. I have about 12 but I take 3 in the boat, one of which has boated me at least 10 fish. Stay with them, they are great baits.

Mr. Wild and Mr. Pearson showed me how to throw the suick. I have nailed four in the past two weeks using their technique, with a pbr. Everytime a fish hits it its gunna be off, owell tune it up. I look at it like aerodynamics.
As far as the weagle goes, I've just started using this lure. It is a mojo, and it works pretty well. Got my first weagle fish Friday.
