| I currently use spiderwire 80lb. braid. When it gets below freezing it ices up a little but nowhere near as bad as a none coated braid. Still, I am looking for a braid that will soak up even less water. Any suggestions? |

| They all soak up some water. Powerpro seems to soak up more than others, Cortland Spectron is a bit better. I've found that as your line wears throughout the season it tends to soak up more and more water, so by late fall, it's like a sponge. Might make sense to change out your line in the fall instead of at the beginning of the season.... |
