| My new glass boat finally got slimed this past week. It is no longer a "Bass" boat [:p]
When we got home and gave her a bath I noticed that the net had scratched the crap out of the top cap where we landed the fish. We have been talking about what we can do in the future to prevent this and the best we have come up with is to sew up a nylon velco sock in the shape of a Y to cover the portion of the hoop and hanlde that would make contact with the glass. What are you guys doing about this on your glass boats? |

| If the net yoke and last few inches of the handle is the problem, simply wrap the handle and first few inches of yoke with friction tape. Electrical tape won't work well, use the stuff Hockey players apply to their stick handles. |

| Go to your local autobody supply store and get a roll of clear urethane. It's the clear chip gaurd patches you see on the lower parts of some truck fenders. The stuff is pretty thick and you can use it on the tops of your trailer fenders, where your anchor rope rubs on the rail and both on the net handle and on the boat.
I put it on one guys Tuffy Osprey so the padlock he has on his elect trolling motor dosen't scar his bow deck and near all his cleats to stop rope burn. |
